Thank you for visiting the Qianling culture website.The Museum is located in Gan County,Xianyang City,Shaanxi Province.Qianling is the burial place of Li Zhi,the third emperor of Tang Dynasty,and Wu Zetian,the only empress in Chinese history.It is located on Liangshan mountain,6 kilometers to the north of Gan County,80 kilometers away from Xi'an City.

The Qianling tomb was built in 684 AD,and it took 23 years for the work to be completed.The Qianling Mausoleum is located on the Liangshan Mountain,which is 10,47.5 meters above sea level.There are three peaks in Liangshan,the highest of which is the Qianling.According to historical records,the tomb had two walls,four gates,xiandian Que and many other magnificent buildings.The exploration shows that the inner city covers a total area of 240 square meters.On the four sides of the wall were the Rosefinch Gate to the south,the Xuanwu Gate to the north,the Qinglong Gate to the east,and the White Humen to the west.On both sides of the Sima Road in front of the mausoleum are 124 exquisite and vivid stone carvings.From south to north has eight prism shape huabiao,winged horses,rosefinch each pair,five for stone horse,wearing a crown hold sword straight cabinet ten of the general survey,four each have 1 to shishi,outside the north gate has a stone horse for 3,in the south gate for the emperor emperor and empress wu praises"the Assyrian monuments,SAN ji"and"no words tablet"two-way and China minority leader in the emperor's funeral and friendly countries him like sixty-one statue of stone carving.In Chinese history,the fixed system of the number,types and placement of stone carvings in front of tombs began from the Qianling Mausoleum and was extended to the Qing Dynasty,with similar changes throughout the ages.
